Interim Transformation PMO Manager

Up to £540 – 4 days /week

2 year project

We require a Transformation PMO Manager for our local authority client who are embarking on a major transformation programme. You will successfully lead and manage the Programme Management Office for the council and the Transformation Programme in a collaborative, consistent and professional manner. You will assist project personnel and boards by providing advice and expertise, co-ordination of project activities and resources to ensure consistency of quality and reporting across the various workstreams. You will also be responsible for tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management, financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, and change control.

With a remit to oversee the collation and production of high-quality documentation throughout the programme lifecycle including, but not limited to business cases, project plans, project initiation document(s), highlight reports and other project documentation including updating and tracking project progress against time, cost and resource utilisation and working closely with other key stakeholders including audit, finance and other support / assurance functions to ensure integration of information and processes, and production of accurate information for programme and workstream boards.

You will need to have significant, proven, and demonstrable ability in developing and implementing project management Performance, Quality and Assurance functions in a local authority setting thus providing exposure to the full range of council services, including the requirements, systems, policy, practices, procedures, legislation, and major issues.

As a graduate, you will also have a recognised programme/project qualification e.g. P3O, MSP, Prince2, APMP, etc. and will have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to a wide range of audiences both horizontally and vertically throughout an organisation
