INTERIM RESOURCING MANAGER
6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT
A requirement has come up for one of my Local Authority clients. The resourcing team support hiring managers with recruitment campaign management for hard to fill roles, senior level appointments, high volume appointments (often as part of organisational change or responses to crisis e.g., Covid), temporary requirements and other roles requiring a resourcing intervention.
A manager self-service recruitment model is in operation and most job requisitions are initiated by managers via the recruitment system. The existing Resourcing Manager will be leaving the council at the end of October 2023 and we therefore require support with the following;
• Support with the delivery of projects aligned to the resourcing strategy (this may include - careers website development, EVP/Branding, contingent workforce spend reduction and contract re-tender, in sourcing of recruitment transactional service, supporting with recruitment to vacant posts when agreed following the team re-organisation consultation)
• Line manage the existing team of two Senior Strategic Resourcing Leads and 1 HR Support Officer (Resourcing)
• Produce regular work activity reports and review/monitor/allocate campaigns and project work
• Provide an escalation point for complex resourcing queries.
• Review use of advertising and marketing agencies for campaign management with the RL team, review service offering, get quotes showing value for money and make recommendations on service use through procurement process
• Establish links/develop process with redeployment, job vacancies and outplacement support.
