Job Description
We are working with a business who are developing and commercialising an energy storage technology that could completely reshape the way we think about multi-hour storage. Storing electricity in the form of heat and compressed air, the technology draws on existing hardware together with some smart engineering thinking to deliver reliable, scalable and affordable energy storage much more sustainably than existing battery solutions.
Having secured funding from various sources, they have now developed a full system prototype, and is currently seeking talented engineering resource to bring the next generation system to life. Working alongside leading researchers and practitioners in the field, you'll help guide the technology from prototype to production hardware, and play a key role in bringing it all together into fully functional customer-deployed pilot systems, all at a pace that only a flexible, skilled and highly responsive start-up team could deliver.
You will play a key role in setting the design and operating philosophy of the next generation system, producing and coordinating key design outputs to advance the system from front-end engineering design to commissioned plant to cost and performance targets. Your ability to bring together design and through-life considerations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant will be a major asset to the team.
Are you an experienced in process and systems engineering, safety and performance analysis for high-pressure, high-temperature systems?
Do you have an understanding of quality assurance and certification requirements for such systems?
Can you specify pressure equipment and engage with potential suppliers to verify that they are capable of delivering to specification, budget and schedule?
Do you have an understanding of installation, commissioning, operating documentation and in service support requirements for such systems?
Are you experienced in projects, risk, cost, forecasting and budget management skills.
Could this be you?
